You can sign up for the Club Rescue Rota online. This rota is easy to use – scroll down to the date you want and enter your name as helm or crew as appropriate.
Closing the window automatically saves your entry. You can modify your entries anytime and as often as you like. At the bottom of the rota are other tabs covering major events in more detail. Click on these to open and enter your name in the same way.
The minimum crew for a Rescue rib is a driver and one crew member BUT in order to give all volunteers as much sea time and experience as possible we can have up to two crew members with one driver for each patrol. In addition we can also launch a second rib on busy days or in rough conditions. This will also provide more practice time for volunteers. If there are two qualified drivers on duty on one boat, please take turns at the helm to ensure we keep the entire volunteer squad up to speed on driving and rescue skills.
Should you need to withdraw your name as either driver or crew member within two weeks of your chosen date, please contact another volunteer to take your place, rather than leaving the date empty.
Please use the rota as far in advance as you can while leaving some space for all volunteers to take their turn as we now have a very healthy squad of some 16 volunteers!
