We offer RYA Powerboat Level 2 (PB2) and Rescue Boat Courses on demand. PB2 aims to teach boat handling and seamanship in our range of Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBs).

The course may be taken by novices and no previous knowledge is necessary. The course runs over 2 days with our in-house instructors and the minimum age for participants is 12. Please note that participants under the age of 16 at time of completion will have their certificate endorsed accordingly.

Participants successfully completing the course will be able to apply for an International Certificate of Competence (ICC) from the RYA allowing them to charter power boats around the world. Courses run with a ratio of 1 instructor to 3 participants.

Safety Boats are an integral part of all water based activities at Royal North and we are able to offer these courses according to demand. The course assumed a high level of competence and experience operating at (or above) PB2 standard. This course is a serious and challenging one and all those interesting in attending should contact the Club to speak to an instructor prior to booking.
