Open to sailing and motor craft Sunday 3rd September

Members of BMBHA and all local sailing clubs are invited.

Royal North of Ireland Yacht Club welcome you to our first floating Treasure Hunt, which is open to all seaworthy sailing and motor craft. Start time, from RNIYC, is from 13.00 to 14.30. This is not a race,  but sailing craft would be advised to start early to get back in time for our Barbecue at 17.00

You will need a hand bearing compass or smartphone with a compass, binoculars, preferably a chart of  Belfast Lough (though A4 photocopies will be available). Also, for safety reasons, a  VHF radio or a mobile phone with its number registered with the organisers. Basic chart reading skills will be needed. Answering the clues will entail a sail of approximately 12 miles.

On return to the RNIYC there will be a Gourmet Barbecue managed by Charthouse Catering. Bring your musical instruments and singing voices!

Cost will be £15 per person, to cover the BBQ. Pay on the day.

Please TEXT bookings (skipper/craft name and number of crew) to Ralph McCutcheon on 07876 353 339, by latest Thursday 31st August.
