Cadet Summer courses run throughout July and August.

All courses are run Monday – Friday, from 09:00 till 16:00 each day.

 Please arrive at 9 am (no earlier) and pick up no later than 4 pm and ready to sign your cadet in and out for the day. Please ensure your cadet has a packed lunch, snack, and a filled water beaker.

 To ensure your child is safe and comfortable on the course, we recommend that they have the advised clothing . This includes, a warm full-length wetsuit, wetsuit boots/trainers, a helmet, a waterproof jacket and a buoyancy aid. 

We do have a small selection of equipment that your cadet may borrow when on the course. 

Plenty of warm long-sleeve base layers and a raincoat are important to keep warm. Don't forget a towel and warm clothes for getting changed after sailing.

Please send in sunscreen even on cloudy days!

 Our Instructors will be assessing the children’s abilities during the course, your child will progress only to the next stage of the program once they are competent in completing all the syllabus requirements in their RYA logbook for their stage.

 If your cadet is new they will attend for a week at a time and will commence their specific stage -

it is not guaranteed they will complete this in 1 week.

As a Beginner they will start at Stage 1 and progress through the 4 stages, this may take them several weeks.

 If your child has already completed any RYA stages outside clubs' courses then the club will require a copy of their certificates.  

 On the first day of the course, cadets who have already completed a stage will need to bring their log book with them for the Senior Instructor to record their progression.

Courses are non refundable.
